The downtown Mankato scene has some new flavor, with two restaurants opening up in the past week.
New Bohemia COO Brian Ingram says, "We've got elk, wild boar, rattlesnake, alligators."
New Bohemia comes to Mankato with a number of brat tastes, but that's just a small part of the experience.
Ingram says, "We try to focus on local beers, so we buy all of our beer locally, so 36 beer lines, and about 25 of those are local beers."
The business sports 19 televisions to go along with the food and beer...and will open up another feature this summer.
Ingram says, "We did an overhead tap system for this summer, I think we're the only bar in Mankato that has the overhead garage door, it opens up and then with the overhead taps, your guests can really interact and talk with them."
Just down the road, another restaurant debuted last week.
Polito's pizza serves New York style pizza by the slice with a variety of flavors.
Polito's Pizza Co–Owner Travis Schertz says, "We kind of have the best of both worlds, where you can dine in, bring your kids and family, or you can do carry–out where you can come in get your slice and get out the door because you're in the middle of a project."
